Treaty DEVELOPMENT NEWS
The activities of LBN Treaty is driven by a work plan and Main Table meetings with the Provincial and Federal government negotiators.
From the onset of our first Main table meeting last November 2006 LBN Treaty has had eight main table meetings. This did not include an Environment workshop which was organized in Prince George by the Federal negotiators.
From the main table meetings LBN Treaty holds community meetings with the five on-reserve communities and three off reserves communities (Smithers, Prince George and Vancouver).
Wilf Adam has joined the LBN Treaty Team temporarily. He has met with the Treaty staff and also BCTC in applying for additional funding. Treaty will be undergoing an evaluation under the request of Chief and Councillor and Wilf
has been preparing the staff and getting things set for the evaluator. He also took part in the Prince George and Vancouver community meetings and at the Vancouver Youth Workshop to present the latest developments with the
Barricade Treaty. Wilf is on a fact finding mission to make sure that the Treaty process is on track.
Welcome Wilf!
