Catering & Hall Rental

Margaret Patrick Memorial Centre provides catering services and hall rental for weddings, social gatherings, conference settings, annual general assemblies, or business meetings. Located in Burns Lake on the Woyenne Reserve, this facility is central to all amenities in Burns Lake in terms of its location and accessibility. This facility also operates weekly bingos on scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

LBN Public Works Yard

Lake Babine Nation Public Works Yard is owned and operated by Lake Babine Nation. LBN Members provide services such as appliance repairs, plumbing, and house repairs. Appliances that can be repaired are cookstoves, washers, and dryers. Plumbing services include leak repairs, toilet or sink replacements, and plugged sewer lines. House repairs include drywall and minor renovations.

All workers are Lake Babine Nation members. Services are available to Fort Babine, Tachet, Donalds Landing, and Old Fort communities.

Morris Williams Memorial Preschool

Recently received full certification to operate as a BC equivalent standard preschool. This facility is operated by LBN Members with a unique curriculum that includes the Babine Carrier Language as the first language. Preschoolers are picked up at there home with a school bus. Preschoolers are prepared to enter into the public educational system with an adage of early intervention programs.

Ted Williams Memorial Learning Centre

This facility is operated by LBN Members and has advanced into blending today’s technological advances in all Adult Learning programs. The Babine Carrier Language is currently being introduced as part of the curriculum with the students being reintroduced into the balhats system.

Tachet Indian Reserve #25

Tachet Trapper’s Gas Store

Owned by the community of Tachet this gas bar and convenience store is one of two stores in the Gransile area. Regular and Premium gasoline and diesel are available to First Nations citizens and tax exempt when status cards are verified. This store has the basic necessities such as groceries, personal effects, native crafts hand made by the locals, and t-shirts.

Tachet Water Treatment Plant

Recently completed in its construction this facility will be commissioned in the spring of 2006. The state of the art water treatment facility will produce high quality drinking water that will be bottled and sold in the international markets.

Fort Babine Lodge Resort

Located near the mouth of the Babine River and one the world’s famous fishing haven for angler fishermen. This resort provides river boats and lodging for world travels. This facility provides affordable rates and quick access to the fishing areas.

Fort Babine Salmon Enhancement Project

Owned by the community of Fort Babine the salmon enhancement project is the result the Aboriginal Fisheries Strategy program as administered by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. The project includes fertilization of salmon eggs, incubation, and farming the fry fish until release.

Electronic Bus

This program was recently introduced into the existing Fort Babine School for the high school level students, graduates, adult learning programs to provide high standards of education. Computers are now available for this services and an expanded telephone system.

Old Fort Indian Reserve #11

Old Fort Community Hall

This facility is available for business retreats, meetings, weddings, and social gatherings. It is located in the mid section of the Babine Lake. Accessible by boat only, the location and natural surroundings provides an uninterrupted atmosphere. Electricity is produced with a portable generator that is maintained by the Band Members. Lodging can be provided.
