Fort Babine,B.C.,
Thur.,Dec.10/09
Hi.Greetings from Fort Babine School
situated in fabulous Fort Babine. The kids are really
starting to get revved up about Christmas and the
upcoming Christmas Holiday Season.They’ve been
snowshoeing for some three (3) weeks or so now
and this seems to add to the seasonal excitement.
The big news here is the fact that we now have
high-speed internet available in each and every
house in the community and this is very much
appreciated by all.
We have about two feet of snow down
in the open areas of the community, although it
hasn’t snowed now for some ten (10) days or so.
Not to worry, though, as there’s enough snow cover
for Santa’s Sleigh and reindeer!
The Lake iced-over last week during the
mini-spell of "colder" weather.Every time one of us
here at the school mentions "cold weather" I can’t
help but think what would the elders say if they
should hear us talking about such "cold" weather.
We know that not so many years ago present day
temperatures of -25 C. might easily have been
-45 C. or so!
All of us here would like to take this
opportunity to wish all Lake Babine members "out
there" a very merry Christmas and a healthful and
prosperous New Year.
Tilly ,Danny, John & Paulette and the
Kids at Fort Babine School
