Comprehensive Community Plan
Comprehensive community planning is a holistic process that enables Lake Babine Nation to build a roadmap to sustainability, self-sufficiency and improved governance capacity.
It is a community-led approach to planning, where the process is driven and owned by all community members rather than by a small group or committee.
Planning is an important tool on the path to self-governance and building capacity in Lake Babine communities. It requires a unique approach to planning that can be adapted to include Nadut’en culture — it can make a positive difference in addressing the specific needs of LBN’s communities, namely, Wit’at, Tachet, Nedo’ats, Donalds Landing/Pinkut Lake, and Woyenne.
Lake Babine Nation is updating its Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP). A strong plan is built on the voices of its members.
CCP Goals:
- Provide input into a shared vision
- Establish community principles & values
- Identify key goals & priorities
CCP Team:
-
Priscilla Crouse, Grant Writing Director/CCP Lead
-
Deanna Nolan, Program Coordinator/CCP
